   Corn, Soybean, and Wheat Markets Steady Ahead of Holiday Break

   March corn is steady, January soybeans are down 1 1/4 cents, March KC wheat
is steady, March Chicago wheat is down 3/4 cent, and MIAX March Minneapolis
wheat is up 0.0025 cents.

   MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is steady, January soybeans are down
1 1/4 cents, March KC wheat is steady, March Chicago wheat is down 3/4 cent,
and MIAX March Minneapolis wheat is up 0.0025 cents.

   CME GLOBEX RECAP: Overnight, corn traded higher, while wheat and soybeans
declined. On Tuesday, corn finished mixed, while soybeans and wheat settled
slightly higher. The basis for soybean, soft red winter wheat, and hard red
winter wheat remained steady on Tuesday, whereas corn basis strengthened and
spring wheat basis weakened. Also on Tuesday, the USDA issued its export sales
report for the second week of October, issuing two backlogged reports weekly
until early January when it catches up. For corn, total sales commitments are
55% above last year's levels. Soybean commitments are 37% below last year,
while wheat export commitments are 25% higher than the previous year.
Wednesday's reports include initial jobless claims at 7:30 a.m. CST. Later,
after the market closes, NASS will release its bi-annual Farm Labor report at 2
p.m. CST. Meanwhile, traders will keep an eye on the early morning USDA sales
dashboard for additional soybean sales to China.

   OUTSIDE MARKETS: The previous closes on Tuesday showed the Dow Jones
Industrial Average up 664.18 at 47,112.45 and the S&P 500 up 60.76 at 6,765.88.
The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.002%. Early Wednesday, the December Dow
Jones Futures are up 82 points. European markets are higher, with the spot
futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.16%, spot futures of Germany's DAX
are trading up 0.48% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index are up
0.55%. Asian markets are mixed, with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 1.85% and
China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.15%.
